Return to Office Update

We’ve been looking forward to the day we’d be able to reopen our doors to all our employees, and that day is coming soon!  We are excited to announce that all U.S. Avenu locations will officially reopen on Tuesday, September 7, 2021.   At this time, we do not have a projected return date for our Canada and India offices and will continue monitoring vaccine rates, COVID cases and local requirements.

The decision to reopen our U.S. offices was not taken lightly—we carefully reviewed, and continue to review, Center for Disease Control (CDC) guidance as well as federal, state and local guidelines. After much discussion, we’ve established a plan that allows us to reopen our doors while preserving your health and safety.

Some employees may be wondering if they’ll be permitted to continue working from home. While we understand that many have settled into working remotely and we thank you for your unwavering commitment to continue pushing Avenu forward, we will be asking all employees within a commutable distance to an office return in some capacity on September 7th.

In the upcoming days your manager will communicate the following Tier assigned to you:

  • Tier 1: In the office 5 days per week based on position/operational needs
  • Tier 2: Hybrid Schedule with flexibility of working at home and in the office
  • Tier 3: 100% remote and not in a commutable distance to an office (COVID protocols did not change work location of these employees)

These schedules will be in place through the end of December 2021 unless your management team determines there is an operational need for your in-office schedule to change sooner than end of year.  As we continue to evaluate our longer-term strategy regarding in-office needs, any changes to the schedule going into next year will be communicated to you as soon as reasonably possible.

It is our priority to keep employees and their families healthy, especially due to the COVID-19 pandemic. As such, we will continue to abide by governmental guidelines as we strive to balance public health concerns with the needs of our business. Some notable workplace changes include the following:

  • Increased office cleaning—Cleaning crews continue to provide office cleaning, focusing on sanitizing and disinfecting high-touch surfaces
  • Updated employee protocols—Over the next few weeks, you’ll receive communication regarding protocols that will be in place to include latest requirements on wearing a mask that will vary based on vaccine status as well as general hygiene reminders to keep our employees safe and healthy while returning to work

We recognize that we also have employees deemed essential that have already returned to the office and thank you for adhering to the existing protocols to keep you and your co-workers safe!

We are excited to welcome you back to work, and we’re confident that, by working together, we can establish a safe, new normal that works for our business and employees.
