Meet Avenu’s Records Management Division Leader – Keith Ellery

Keith Ellery heads Avenu’s Records Management division and brings a wealth of experience in market development, business development and marketing for technology-based businesses. For those of you who haven’t had a chance to meet him face-to-face yet, you’re in good company. Keith joined Avenu in the midst of the pandemic with travel restrictions and social distancing measures already in place. Here’s a chance from a recent interview to get to know him a little better.

You have a successful track record in technology-based businesses. What skills have you relied on at Avenu?

A large part of my professional background has been in optimizing the customer’s experience by developing a platform that is meaningful and adds a great deal of benefit. The key is to determine what is most critical to our clients and then have laser focus on delivering the top three to four items.

What attracted you to Avenu?

Avenu shares my “Client First” philosophy and it was refreshing to see it in action. From Executive Leadership Team through every front-line employee, we are committed to serving our clients. I can turn to any employee if there is ever an issue that needs to be resolved quickly.

What have you learned about Avenu’s Records Management Team?

The Records Management Team is a great group of professionals and the clients I speak with tell me that are people are our number one asset. Not only are they passionate, but they are focused on doing the right thing and are dedicated to serving our clients. We have a very high-level of industry expertise and most of our Records Management leadership has 20+ years of industry experience. I am proud to be working with them.

What is your communication style?

I prefer face-to-face conversations but with the pandemic environment, that is not currently the case. Anyone is welcome to pick up the phone and share their thoughts. I would love to hear from our clients on how they are doing and what they need to be successful now and in the future.

How do you define success – both personally and professionally?

That’s a good question. I think when you look yourself in the mirror and can honestly and confidently say that you’ve given something 100% effort. Win, lose, or draw, you were committed. That philosophy applies anywhere and it’s something I’m working with my children to understand right now as well.

What are you looking forward to in 2021?

Probably the same as most people, first and foremost, I cannot wait for the pandemic to end.  To get back to normal. I can’t wait to meet every member of our team face to face as well as every client we serve.
