Avenu Makes A Big Splash at the California Society for Municipal Finance Officers (CSMFO)
Avenu actively participates at many conferences across the country throughout the year, however, we were able to make a big impression at the recent California Society for Municipal Finance Officers (CSMFO). Not only did we unveil a brand-new tradeshow booth and banners, but we provided two individual presentations that captivated audiences.
Fran Mancia, Avenu VP of Government Relations, and our UCLA Anderson Forecast Partner, Dr. Leila Bengali, provided a California Economic Forecast. The event was widely attended, and the audience stayed past the end time (and even delayed their happy hour) to stay and ask questions. Attendees raved about the presentation and talked about the great insight that it brought them. Way to go Fran Mancia and Mark Bryson who helped pull the presentation together.
The other presentation was given by Avenu’s Reva Feldman, Strategic Advisor, who partnered with colleagues from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and California Office of Emergency Services (Cal OES). The presentation focused on Emergency Management and how cities can best prepare themselves for any urgent situation that strikes. This event was also very popular with audience members sharing their gratitude for learning how to access emergency funds and support during a disaster. Way to go Reva Feldman and Laura Burnett who helped pull this presentation together.
