4TH Annual Sales Kick-Off

Avenu jump started 2021 with our 4th annual and 1st virtual Sales Kick-Off (SKO) gathering Executive Leadership, Business Unit Leaders, Sales & Marketing, and Customer Success Managers from across the country. This year’s theme (Elevate, Automate, Generate) focused on:

  • Elevating our mindset internally to be more strategic and detail oriented
  • Automating and enhancing administrative operations for local and state governments nationwide through our software
  • Generating efficiencies and maximize revenues for the jurisdictions we serve.

The three-day session featured a CEO Address by Paul Colangelo and Account Management Strategy presented by Lou Schiavone Jr., Chief Customer Officer & President. The SKO also included Business Unit Reviews, Sales Territory Reviews, breakout panel discussions on ways to enhance productivity.

One of the highlights of the event was this year’s motivational speaker, Justin Constatine. Justin was a Lieutenant Colonel in the Marine Corps with 16 years of active and reserve service. He volunteered for his deployment to Iraq in 2006, excited to lead other Marines and help rebuild that war-torn part of the world. While on a routine combat patrol, an enemy sniper shot Justin in the head, causing catastrophic damage, destroying his jaws and much of his face.

Miraculously, Justin survived the gunshot wound but it’s his story of how he faced and overcame all of his future obstacles that is an inspiration. Justin reminds us that together we can overcome adversity and the toughest of obstacles. Here are some of the key takeaways from his presentation:

  • You are stronger than you think you are
  • Teamwork is critical for success
  • It’s okay to ask for help and lean on others for support
  • Look for opportunities to help other people
  • Use challenges to become stronger and smarter than before
  • Maintain a good sense of humor
